How I am keeping my faith fresh this week is learning to think theologically. My pastor has been teaching me how to do this :-) , and it is amazing what you can learn about illustrating our faith by looking at things around you theologically. I was walking across the the quad at the seminary on Monday, in the rain (no jacket, of course). I looked up at the sky, all cloudy, feeling the rain, and thought about how even when things in our lives are not going well, or are troubled, God still pours out His love and blessings on us, and so we have nothing to fear. That is thinking theologically.

I am about 20 pounds overweight, and I am looking to get started on a weight loss program. I want to start by concentrating on diet only, and then add some form of exercise. What gave you the idea for Before It's News? As we were following the 2008 election, we noticed something very interesting - bloggers covered many of the breaking stories days before the alphabet soup news outlets (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, AP, MSNBC, FOX, etc.). Important facts were omitted or ignored by the mainstream media mainly because these facts inconveniently do not fit into the memes these outlets routinely promote. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. I had been a blackberry user and fan for years. Within the past year I had switched my two home PC's to iMacs and also purchased a Mac Book Pro. So when my third Storm bricked on its own and Verizon wanted me to pay for the fourth one, I bid farewell to Verizon and switched my wife and I to iPhones. Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
